Section 1 Democracy in Scotland and the United Kingdom
The place of Scotland within the UK political system, although it’s possible to answer a question more on Scotland than the UK or vice versa.
Section 2 Social Issues in the United Kingdom
Social Inequality or Crime and the Law
Section 3 International Issues
A World Power or a World Issue.
This paper is worth 52 marks.
Question Paper 2, which lasts 1 hour 15 minutes, tests skills of analysing, evaluating and synthesising evidence.
There are three questions:
Question 1: Detecting Objectivity
Question 2: Drawing and Supporting Conclusions
Question 3: Evaluating the Reliability of Sources.
This paper is worth 28 marks.
